The Wine Valley Lodge is a vintage motel built in the California Mission-style located just off Highway 29 at Imola Avenue and Coombs Street. This rustic adobe style motel is arranged in a plaza setting around a pool creating a resort atmosphere at an affordable price. This lodge in the heart of the Napa Valley has an interesting story to tell.

Two years later, Elvis Presley arrived in Napa to film the 1961 movie “Wild in the Country” with Tuesday Weld and Hope Lange. This was a very exciting time for teenage girls in Napa, as they waited in long lines at the fairgrounds to see Elvis and get his autograph. All of the stars stayed at the Wine Valley Lodge.

Later the Lodge was a home for student pilots for Japan Airlines who were going through training at the Napa Airport. The current owners like to tell stories of the motel's past history as they preserve the Wine Valley Lodge as one of only two single story true "motel" type businesses in Napa.

This Devita-built motel has been renovated over the years but has retained its "Vintage" Napa integrity. Wine Valley Lodge has been host to a variety of well known guests, including Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Rock Hudson.
